Eclipse

AVN6620

The Eclipse AVN6620 DVD player provides a full array of entertainment options, as well as a comprehensive navigation system that gets you where you need to go. The big 7" monitor gives you the ability to enter commands with just a touch of the screen and makes it easy to view movies, navigation screens, and menus. And this versatile receiver makes a stylish addition to your vehicle's double-sized, 4" tall dash opening.

Two DVD slots

The AVN6620's two DVD slots allow you to entertain while you navigate — the first slot houses your map DVD-ROM, while the second plays your DVDs or CDs. You can listen to your favorite music on standard CDs or custom MP3/WMA mixes, while still receiving turn-by-turn directions from the navigation system. Switch over to dual-zone mode to send DVD picture and sound to the video screen you've installed for your rear passengers, while you use navigation or enjoy another music source up front.

Built-in navigation

The AVN6620 features a dedicated drive for navigation, so there's no need for an extra navigation box in your vehicle. In major cities, the navigator guides you with detailed views of streets, buildings, and recognizable landmarks. You'll always get up to three route options for any given destination — choose from the two quickest routes, a shortest distance route, or explore more options for a scenic drive. With access to almost 9 million points of interest, you'll always be able to find interesting spots for dining and recreation, even in unfamiliar territory.

You can also add a SIRIUS Traffic receiver for real-time traffic data that keeps you up to date on accidents, traffic flow and congestion, and road closings in most major metropolitan areas.

Surround sound in your car

Slide in a DVD or a CD — Circle Surround II delivers natural-sounding surround effects using the four speakers in your car, and gives you the ability to enhance the bass in your music and raise the soundstage up to ear level.

You can adjust each of the seven frequency points on the built-in equalizer individually, or just trace your desired EQ curve with your finger on the touchscreen.

System expansion

Eclipse's optional iPod® interface allows you to connect and control your iPod, or you can integrate a satellite radio or HD Radio® tuner for the best radio entertainment around. And three sets of 5-volt preamp outputs send a clean signal to the external amplifiers you use to drive your speakers and subs.

For safer driving, add an optional Bluetooth adapter to enjoy hands-free operation of your Bluetooth® phone, or connect an Eclipse rear-view camera to get a clear view when you back up.

AVN7000

Versatility and convenience — that's what you get from Eclipse's AVN7000 in-dash DVD player/navigation system with its motorized, retractable 7" video screen. It entertains you with a number of playback options while guiding you to your destination accurately and efficiently. Best of all, it fits right in your vehicle's standard-sized dash opening.

Eclipse outfitted the AVN7000 with an impressive internal hard drive that handles all navigation chores. It stores detailed maps of the U.S. and Canada, and its super-fast processor calculates your routes in no time at all.

Rendered in 32,000 colors, the on-screen maps offer multiple levels of zooming, so you'll have no problem following them at a glance. Close-ups of intersections ensure that you'll follow the right road every time. Voice prompts also help out, warning you of upcoming turns in plenty of time.

Touchscreen controls make it easy to program your route. Just enter an address or intersection, or select from the millions of points of interest, including restaurants, hotels, tourist attractions, even banks and ATMs. You can customize your route to follow certain types of roads, and set up to five intermediate spots to visit along the way. And you can even set up the screen to show you icons of services along your route.

The AVN7000 also offers plenty of entertainment options. It plays your DVD videos, along with your CDs, and the MP3 and WMA files you've burned on disc. It even has a slot for your Memory Sticks — you can use it to play music or upload your own custom background image for the video screen.

No matter what you listen to, the 7-band equalizer ensures that it'll sound great. The Time Alignment feature lets you adjust the music so that the sound from each speaker arrives at your ears at the same moment — you'll hear a big difference in clarity.

You can watch your DVDs on the built-in screen only when you're parked. Add a backseat monitor and a set of wireless headphones, and your passengers in back can keep watching movies as you drive.

You can add plenty of extra components using the array of inputs and outputs. Built-in controls let you enjoy SIRIUS Satellite Radio or HD Radio, just by connecting optional tuners. Plug your game system or mobile VCR into the audio/video inputs. And you can keep tabs on what's behind you by adding the compatible Eclipse rear-view camera — its picture automatically comes up when you put the vehicle in reverse.

Dual illumination lets you light up the buttons in either blue or red, whichever better complements your interior. And a handy secondary display keeps you in full control when you have to retract the screen.\

AVN5495

It may sound like exaggeration, but it's not — the Eclipse AVN5495 is one amazing piece of equipment. Like many multi-purpose in-dash systems, it delivers DVD video, touchscreen controls, CD and MP3 playback, and accurate satellite navigation, with a 6.5" screen that takes up almost the entire faceplate.

Built-in hard drive

But the AVN5495 does it all using a 30-gigabyte internal hard drive, with no extra components or software necessary. It fits perfectly in double-sized dash openings, helping them retain a factory look. The easy-to-follow on-screen menus and touchscreen controls make operating the system simple.

Onboard hard disks have been used in vehicles before, but never to this extent. Maps of the U.S. and portions of Canada are already loaded into the system, and you get a slew of customizable options for selecting your destination. Millions of points of interest are loaded, so you'll be able to find places like restaurants and hotels no matter where you are. The system guides you turn-by-turn with a combination of the visual maps and voice prompts.

Music Juke

You'll fall in love with Music Juke, too. Every time you put in a CD, the hard disk will store its tracks automatically — and it can hold up to 3,000 tracks at a time. You can access your favorite songs without bringing a single disc along with you. The hard disk also has a database of approximately 230,000 song titles on it; if you insert a disc that's included in the database, its information will display on the screen.

Great movie and music performance

When you're parked, slide a DVD video into the drive, and enjoy movies on the AVN5495's gorgeous screen. Connect a second screen to the video output, and the folks in back can continue watching the show when you're driving. Circle Surround II creates a "phantom" center channel for convincing, simulated surround sound with just four speakers.

In fact, all your sources will sound great, thanks to the system's high-quality internal components and extensive sound controls. The touchscreen controls make adjusting the equalizer easy — just trace the shape of the curve you want on the screen with your finger, instead of adjusting one frequency at a time. Circle Surround II also "raises" the front soundstage, especially helpful if your front speakers are mounted low in the doors. And TruBass helps enhance your system's bass output significantly, even if you have no subwoofer.

Extra sources

Have digital music files stored on Memory Stick? You can load them into the AVN5495's Memory Stick slot. Connect an Eclipse rear-view camera for an on-screen look at what's behind you. CD changer controls are built in, and three sets of 5-volt preamp outputs send a remarkably clean signal to your external amplifiers. You can also add a compatible Eclipse SIRIUS radio for the best over-the-air entertainment around, or enjoy enhanced FM and AM broadcasts where available by connecting the optional HD Radio tuner.
